In response to the consequences of the heatwave episodes this summer of 2026, the State has launched a "Recovery Fund" to financially support farmers facing economic and cash flow difficulties.
To inform about eligibility for these aids and assist with the process, a free support session is being offered by the Chamber of Agriculture. It will take place on October 15, 2026, starting at 3 PM, at 8 place de la République, in Saint-Martin-de-Ré.
Participation in this session requires making an appointment with David Walraet at 06 32 77 96 97.
This program, its eligibility criteria, and the allocated amounts are managed at the departmental level. In Charente-Maritime, affected farmers have until October 19, 2026, to submit their application online via the dedicated platform.
For further information, you can call 06 87 50 82 31.
The necessary elements to submit an aid application include a digitized bank account details (RIB), FranceConnect credentials, SIRET and PACAGE numbers, the farm's utilized agricultural area (SAU) and main production, as well as the yields for various activities and productions from 2021 to 2026, and the significant percentage loss rate on the three main crops (spring) and fodder crops.
If farmers do not have access to the above elements, they can also obtain from their accountant the last declared turnover, the average turnover for the five fiscal years preceding the last declared one, and information regarding the ratio of annuities/EBE and any negative EBE in the last two fiscal years. The amount of aid received between October 2023 and October 2026 is also required.
