The Communauté de communes de l'Île de Ré announces the launch of a new declaration platform for short-term rental property owners, effective from Thursday, October 15, 2026. This tool succeeds the former Déclaloc platform, aiming to simplify administrative procedures related to short-term rentals.
Owners who have already initiated procedures on Déclaloc will have their information automatically transferred, including ongoing requests, registration numbers, and change of use authorizations. Only creating a new password will be required to access the new platform.
For new renters, it will first be necessary to create an account via a dedicated form. The new platform is designed to be easier to use for declaring a property, obtaining a registration number, or requesting a change of use. It also promises greater transparency, allowing owners to know their position in the waiting list for required authorizations.
For more information, interested parties can consult the dedicated page or contact the service via email at infomeuble@cc-iledere.fr.
This change is part of a regulation that came into effect on June 1, 2025, on Île de Ré, aimed at regulating tourist rentals and promoting year-round living. This regulation limits owners to a maximum of two authorizations and sets quotas for the number of authorized tourist furnished rentals per municipality.
Owners concerned by these procedures include those who rent out a room in their home or their primary residence for less than 120 days a year, an annex dwelling, their secondary residence for short stays, or a tourist furnished rental as part of a rental investment.
