Several interventions are planned in the La Rochelle agglomeration concerning water networks. In La Rochelle itself, wastewater network checks will be carried out using smoke bombs on rue Pierre Joseph Proudhon on the morning of Thursday, October 1, 2026. The smoke used is harmless and dissipates quickly.
In the municipality of Aytré, the renewal of drinking water networks and connections will begin on rue de Bongraine starting Monday, October 5, 2026, for a period of three weeks. Traffic and parking will be prohibited in certain areas, and waste collection will be adapted.
In Nieul-sur-Mer, works on the wastewater network will take place on rue de Maillezais starting October 5, 2026, for an estimated duration of 10 days. Parking will be prohibited in the work zone, and waste collection will be modified.
Wastewater network checks using smoke bombs are also announced in Esnandes and Marsilly between September 28 and October 2, and in Châtelaillon-Plage between October 12 and 16. These operations, carried out by the NCA Engineering Office, will take place between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Furthermore, a television inspection of the rainwater network is scheduled for rue Saint-Jean du Pérot in La Rochelle during the nights of September 21-22, 22-23, 28-29, and 29-30, 2026, causing temporary noise pollution.
Finally, the water meter reading campaign for the second half of 2026 continues in several municipalities, notably in La Rochelle for various districts until October 1, as well as in Marsilly and Lagord until mid-October.
