The Communauté de Communes of Île d'Oléron, through its France Rénov' Information Space, is organizing an information meeting dedicated to wood heating and the best practices to adopt. The event will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 5:30 PM, in the educational room of the Maison éco-paysanne, located in Le Grand-Village-Plage.
This meeting aims to enlighten participants on how wood heating systems function. It will identify simple actions to improve efficiency, control energy consumption, and preserve ambient air quality.
The effective use of wood heating is not solely dependent on the appliance itself. The quality of the wood used, its moisture content, storage conditions, as well as ignition and combustion methods, all play a crucial role in optimizing its performance.
Heating efficiently with wood allows for financial savings, enhances home comfort, and actively contributes to preserving air quality.
Participants are invited to discover best practices to fully benefit from their wood heating system, balancing comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
