The successful French animated series Les Kassos begins the development of its ninth season in Angoulême, marking a new production chapter for the studio Bobbypills.

With over a billion views, Les Kassos, a series addressing social issues through popular culture characters, is moving from Paris to Angoulême. The production of this ninth season is entrusted to the independent animation studio Bobbypills, known for its adult-oriented works like Jim Queen and Vermin.
Development has started on-site with a writers' room bringing together local comic book and animation authors, including Chariospirale and Gad. This collaboration allows comic book authors to experiment with writing for animation, while local graphic designers engage with a series aimed at a teen-adult audience.
This new production model, based on collegial work, in-room readings, and dialogue rigor, makes Les Kassos a true writing and production laboratory for adult animation. Following the success of the feature film Jim Queen, supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the Charente department, Bobbypills reaffirms its commitment to a creative hub in the territory.
