Addressing the constant rise in healthcare costs, the new Municipality of Châteaubernard is fulfilling one of its campaign promises by launching a municipal health mutual. This initiative, a partnership with France Mutuelle, was officially presented to the Municipal Council on Tuesday, September 29. It will come into effect on November 1, 2026.
This new offering features negotiated rates through collective action, eliminating the need for medical questionnaires. It aims to provide adapted coverage, particularly for seniors, with multiple guarantee levels allowing individuals to choose a plan that suits their situation and budget.
The program is open to all residents of the commune, regardless of age or family status. Personalized appointments will be available for a free, no-obligation assessment of individual needs, followed by a tailored proposal.
A public information meeting will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 6:30 PM in the Municipal Council hall. Residents are encouraged to attend to ask questions and learn about the initiative. Support sessions will also be organized to assist with enrollment procedures.
The commitment of elected officials continues to ensure access to healthcare, viewed as an essential service accessible to the greatest number.
