During its meeting on September 22, 2026, the Municipal Council of Mougon appointed representatives for various syndicates. Jean-Marie BONNIN and Mikaël GUILLORIT were designated to sit on the Watershed Management and Development Syndicate (SYMBO). Jean-Marie BONNIN will also represent the commune on the Niortaise Sèvre Watershed Mixed Syndicate (SMBVSN).
The Council approved adherence to the national 'reminder to order' system, a preventive tool allowing the mayor to intervene in minor disturbances to public order, safety, tranquility, or sanitation. Furthermore, the opposition to transferring special police powers related to waste collection to the president of the Mellois en Poitou Community of Communes was lifted.
An occupancy agreement for the ATM installed at Place de la Gasse was amended, setting an annual fee of €100 including tax and incorporating a personal data protection clause.
The multi-year allocation of funds for the revitalization of the town center and the construction of the multi-sport hall was updated. The main budget was adjusted through modification decision n°1, balancing operating expenses at €6,253,731.87 and investment at €3,460,972.02.
The tax on vacant housing (TVLH) was established to encourage the return of unoccupied dwellings to the market that have been vacant for at least two years. The rate will be set before April 2027.
In terms of human resources, following the resignation of a municipal councilor, Vincent LORIOU was appointed to sit on the Territorial Social Committee (CST). Two permanent positions were created: a principal technician of the 2nd class and a principal animation assistant of the 2nd class. Regarding urban planning, the sale of plot 004 AB 219 (104 m²) for €312, resulting from the declassification of part of the Rue de la Fontaine, was approved. The free acquisition of plot 004 D 750 (315 m²) was validated to regularize the widening of the Route de la Rivière in Aigonnay. Finally, the 'Route de Gascougnolles' in Triou will be renamed 'Route de Trompe Ageasse' with new numbering to improve address accuracy.
