For three weeks, 22 collection points will be available to residents of the area. This initiative offers an opportunity to sort through items at home and give a new life to toys that are no longer used.
All unused but still in good condition toys are accepted: electronic, wooden, construction, board games, dolls, cars, puzzles, books... Simply ensure they are complete and functional before dropping them off.
Toys can be dropped off at the SMC's waste disposal centers, at the O’drigail recycling center, and in several participating town halls: Augé, Azay-Le-Brûlé, Cherveux, La Crèche, Romans, Sainte-Eanne, Sainte-Néomaye, Saint-Aubin-le-Cloud, Saint-Germier, Saint-Georges-de-Noisné, Saint-Maixent-l’Ecole, Saint-Pardoux-Soutiers, and Vautebis.
Collected toys will be entrusted to the O’drigail recycling center of the SMC to be offered for sale at low prices before the end-of-year holidays. The recycling center, located at 72, La Pièce du Chêne in Azay-le-Brûlé, is also open for sales and drop-offs of other items in good condition.
Toys that cannot be reused will be handed over to the ecosystem or ecomaison eco-organizations for depollution and recycling in strict compliance with environmental standards. This initiative helps reduce waste, promote reuse, and allow other families to access toys at affordable prices.
