Due to the confirmed significant presence of wild boars causing nuisances in the communal territory, administrative night interventions, known as "Night Hunts," are being organized. These operations will start on September 23 and continue until October 08, from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
Authorized by prefectural decree, this intervention will also cover the neighboring communes of Sanilhac and Atur. It will be carried out by sworn Lieutenants of the Hunt. Vehicles will therefore circulate in the communal territory, particularly in the sectors of Gedimat, the agricultural high school, cré@vallee, the petite forêt, and petite borie, as well as Sansonnet.
All necessary measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of residents and to minimize any potential disturbances related to the operation, especially noise from possible shots.
The passage of wild boars causes serious damage to both private properties and agricultural land. Furthermore, a significant concentration of wild boars in peri-urban areas increases the risk of road accidents. This administrative intervention is a public service mission addressing health and safety concerns.
