The Communauté de communes Vallée Dordogne Forêt Bessède and the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales (CAF) of Dordogne are joining forces to support youth and local animation. The goal is to train future animators, encourage civic engagement, and assist young people with their projects.
The BAFA training programs offered are part of the Convention Territoriale Globale (CTG), a structuring partnership signed with the CAF Dordogne. This convention aims to strengthen the coherence and quality of actions for residents, particularly in the areas of youth, parenting, and social life animation.
Thanks to financial support from the local authority and the CAF Dordogne, ten young people from the area were able to undertake general training or an advanced training course. The diversity of profiles within the group created a dynamic learning environment, fostering exchanges and a true sense of community.
Several participants testified to the importance of this financial aid. One stated: 'Yes, this aid really made my registration easier. It allowed me to approach the process more calmly and embark on the BAFA adventure without difficulty.' Another newly qualified participant, Jade, shared her unique internship experience in Morocco, describing it as 'humanly incredible and unforgettable.'
Other testimonials highlighted the training as 'enriching, intense, tiring... but fascinating,' which helped them 'gain confidence' and confirm their professional aspirations. The financial aid was described as 'real support that allowed me to overcome a significant barrier.'
The association ED2R was also thanked for its support to Alix and Mathys, who became animators after being involved at the leisure center since they were five years old. The €450 contribution towards their qualifying training was deemed decisive.
The Community of Communes is committed to financing 12 additional BAFA grants, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis according to established criteria. The partnership with MFR de Salignac and Familles Rurales is maintained, with enhanced support to help young people find their practical training placements and encourage specialized advanced training.
The cost of the BAFA training, which includes general training, a practical internship, and advanced training, is €450 covered by the local authority. Candidates must pay a minimum of €100, while the CAF Dordogne reimburses €350 to the community of communes. Administrative and logistical support is provided to facilitate registrations and internships.
Interested young people must be at least 16 years old. The training consists of three stages: general training, practical internship, and advanced training or qualification. Personalized support is available for procedures and internship searches.
