Since November 3, 2026, travelers on the Baïa network are using the Modalis ticketing system, a unified solution for purchasing, recharging, and validating transport tickets.

The Communauté d’agglomération du Bassin d’Arcachon Sud (COBAS), in partnership with Nouvelle-Aquitaine Mobilités (NAM), has implemented the Modalis ticketing system on Baïa buses and at the territory's TER train stations. Old validators have been replaced with Modalis validators, marking a significant step in simplifying travel.
Three ticketing options are now available: the Modalis card, which is personalized and valid for 10 years, can be recharged in shops or on board; the rechargeable ticket, replacing paper tickets, which can be kept and reloaded; and a bank card, which functions as a 1-Trip PASS and allows up to 9 companions to be added, with payments also accepted via smartphone or connected watch.
This new system also allows Baïa users to load tickets compatible with intercity regional coaches, the Alégo network, or other urban networks in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, maintaining the same ticket for different transport modes.
The integration of the Baïa network into Modalis is part of NAM's strategy to progressively connect the region's transport networks, facilitating travel between different living areas.
