The Médoc Estuaire Community of Communes (CDCME) has opened a public consultation for its Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan (PCAET) for the period 2026-2032. This strategic document aims to define territorial objectives for mitigating and adapting to climate change, as well as measures to improve air quality.
The PCAET, which must integrate the orientations of the Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development Scheme (SCoT) and the Regional Scheme for Sustainable Development and Territorial Equality (SRADDET), focuses on several key areas: reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, adapting to climate change, improving air quality, reducing energy consumption, and developing local energy production.
The plan's construction follows a rigorous process: a comprehensive territorial diagnosis, definition of strategy and objectives aligned with national trajectories (horizon 2026-2032), an action plan with quantified operational measures assigned to designated pilots, and regular evaluation and monitoring of performance indicators.
Citizen participation is considered essential. Residents are invited to consult the project online on the Community of Communes' website starting October 16, or in paper version at the CDCME headquarters in Arsac. Contributions can be sent via email to dev.territorial@medoc-estuaire.fr, by postal mail, or through a register available at the headquarters.
The observations and proposals gathered will be analyzed and transmitted to the steering teams to contribute to the plan's evolution, with the final project to be submitted for a vote by elected officials in the Communal Council. This initiative aims to collectively shape the territory's ecological transition.
