The former La Souys train station, located in Floirac, is the focus of a call for expressions of interest launched by Bordeaux Métropole and the City of Floirac to find a project that will bring it back to life.

The objective is to transform this historic building into a new living space, open to residents and meeting the needs of the area. Ideas include a convivial meeting place, a solidarity café, participatory workshops, and activities related to soft mobility, sustainable food, and short supply chains.
Built in the 19th century, the former station on the Bordeaux-Eymet line ceased passenger traffic in 1951. After the line was dismantled, a cycle path was created in 1994. The building, approximately 80 m², is now disused and serves as a link between the historic town center and the new city center of Floirac.
Interested project developers can consult the consultation file and application procedures on the City of Floirac website. The deadline for submitting applications is February 15, 2027.
The provisional schedule includes the pre-selection of projects, site visits, and candidate interviews in March 2027, finalization of contractual terms in April 2027, and provisional delivery of the premises in Spring 2027.
