“"It is a crossing of opposites for Violeta. In an almost irrational impulse, setting out in search of the man she loves, she deserts the club where she is supposed to play, and wanders through the violence and beauty of the night and the streets of Buenos Aires. It is the Milei era, the encounters Violeta has oscillate between gentleness and danger. Despite the general collapse, being together has never been so necessary."

Filmmaker Isabelle Solas will be in residence at Chalet Mauriac for three weeks starting November 9, 2026, to work on her fiction project titled We Will Share More Than the Night.
Isabelle Solas, an author-director and cinematographer known for her work in creative documentary for the past twenty years, has chosen Chalet Mauriac for her upcoming residency. She will stay there for three weeks starting November 9, 2026, to develop her fiction project We Will Share More Than the Night.
With studies in anthropology, oriental languages, and at the Lussas Documentary School, Isabelle Solas has explored themes of disappearance and belonging to real or imagined territories in her first medium-length documentaries. She has also worked as a cinematographer for various stage, music, and dance projects, while developing improvisational performance art with the collective Totoblack.
Her first feature film, Nos corps sont vos champs de bataille (Our Bodies Are Your Battlegrounds), which focuses on the body as a site of political and poetic invention, has been screened internationally and won awards at several festivals. She is currently developing feature film projects that blend fiction and documentary, continuing to explore themes of outsider journeys, collective strength, and dissident bodies.
The project in residence, Nous partagerons plus que la nuit (We Will Share More Than the Night), follows Violeta's journey through Buenos Aires during the Milei era. In an almost irrational impulse, she leaves the club where she is supposed to perform to search for the man she loves, wandering through the violence and beauty of the night streets. Amidst general collapse, being together becomes more necessary than ever.
