The Department of Haute-Vienne is launching a new €30 aid for passing the driving theory test and maintaining its financial support for driving licenses, as part of its 'Start 87' plan.

As part of its new Youth Plan 2026-2029 'Start 87', the Department of Haute-Vienne is reinforcing its support for the mobility of young people from Haute-Vienne. A new aid of €30 is being created to support passing the driving theory test, in addition to the existing aid for driving license training.
Young people under 25 years old residing in Haute-Vienne can benefit from this €30 aid after successfully passing the driving theory test, without income conditions. The exam must have been taken at an approved center located in Haute-Vienne, and proof of success dated less than three months ago must be presented.
The Department also continues its financial support for driving license training, whether through accompanied driving or traditional training. This aid is aimed at young people from Haute-Vienne aged 15 to 25, and its amount varies from €150 to €500 depending on the family quotient.
These measures are part of the new Youth Plan 'Start 87', which maintains and expands departmental aid to meet the needs of young people and the realities of the territory. By facilitating access to the driving theory and license tests, the Department aims to remove mobility barriers and promote the autonomy of young people, particularly in their training and professional integration paths.
