The Landes Citizen Participatory Budget launches its 2026 edition, with a budget of €1.5 million, to fund projects proposed and voted on by residents. Young people aged 7 to 17 have a dedicated share of 10%.

Individuals, associations, or groups can submit one or more ideas beneficial to the department. Concerned projects are investment projects falling within the Department's fields of action (social welfare, education, environment, culture, etc.) and with a controlled budget not exceeding €50,000 (or €30,000 for 'Youth' projects).
Ideas can be submitted online at budgetparticipatif.landes.fr, by mail to the Landes Departmental Council office in Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, by email to bpc40@landes.fr, or directly at the Departmental Council Headquarters in Mont-de-Marsan and Saint-Paul-lès-Dax.
The timeline includes idea submission from November 2 to 30, 2026. Departmental services will then analyze project eligibility from November 2026 to March 2027. The online voting period will take place from May 4 to 31, 2027, followed by the announcement of winning projects in June 2027. Implementation and funding by the Department will run from 2027 to 2029.
