The scheme is open from October 15 to November 30, 2026. Drought and high temperature phenomena have caused significant losses to crops and agricultural assets.
The recognition of crop loss, validated on October 1, 2026, covers major crops, market gardening, arboriculture, viticulture, honey, hops, and miscanthus. Compensation depends on the insurance taken out. If a crop is covered by Multi-Risk-Climate (MRC) insurance, the approved insurer handles the compensation. Otherwise, the DDTM manages the file.
For losses to perennial crops (young vine plants, kiwifruit, and hazelnut trees), also recognized on October 1, 2026, declarations must be made on the ALEANAT platform. Necessary documents are to be downloaded, completed, and sent by email to ddtm-sea-calam(at)landes.gouv.fr.
It is reminded that the agricultural disaster scheme cannot compensate for damages already covered by insurance. Farmers insured for these losses at the time of the incident are therefore excluded from this compensation.
