As part of the cultural season, the town of Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse hosts "Camus is Hip-Hop, between misery and sun", a new performance presented by LMA. This bold show brings together two hip-hop dancers and the philosophy of Albert Camus, Nobel Prize in Literature.
The performance transforms the body into a language of reconciliation, translating Camus's revolt and search for justice through precise gestures and a strong physical presence. It dialogues the writer's thought with hip-hop culture, from its origins in 1970s New York to the present day.
This poetic and impactful piece finds a particular resonance in the face of rising fears of the 'other', embodying a magnificently rendered commitment on stage.
