The Tennis Club du Luy de Béarn (TCLB) held its general assembly on Friday, October 9th, at the Micro-Folie in Montardon, bringing together over fifty members to review the past season and future projects.

Presided over by Éric Pillet for the past two years, the club has seen significant growth thanks to the creation of Padel courts, funded by the municipality of Serres-Castet. With 581 members for the 2024-2025 season, including 250 multi-racket sports practitioners and 296 Padel players, the TCLB ranks as the second-largest tennis club in Béarn and fifth in the department.
On the sporting front, results are encouraging. Paul Benoit distinguished himself by becoming departmental vice-champion and league champion in tennis, reaching the semi-finals of the third-series French championships at Roland-Garros. The men's Padel teams also achieved a historic victory in the departmental inter-club championship.
However, the club has regretfully decided to permanently abandon the organization of a CNGT (National Grand Tournaments Circuit) due to financial reasons, despite attracting 133 players. The Padel commission, meanwhile, organized 63 tournaments, including the highly anticipated P 200 kg and an internal tournament with 215 participants, won by Stéphane Roméo and Amélie Simonet.
The TCLB also continues its commitment to local life, participating in October Rose, hosting middle school students, and organizing exchanges with young people from football and basketball clubs. The club's finances remain healthy, with a budget of €222,082.41 and a positive result of €286.62.
During a prize draw, Léandre Mary and Morgane Baudoin each won a ticket to the next Roland-Garros tournament. The club is thus serenely approaching its next major milestone: in 2027, the Tennis Club du Luy de Béarn, founded by Philippe d’Argoubet, will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
