Excellent news for Oloron: the project La Friche has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Dezeen Awards 2026 in two distinct categories: 'Mixed-use project' and 'Sustainable renovation'. These international architecture and design awards are among the most followed globally.
This year, over 4,300 entries from 91 countries were submitted. La Friche's simultaneous selection in two categories places it in a particularly tight international competition, alongside renowned projects and agencies from around the world.
The public is invited to cast their votes until October 16th. The winners will be announced in mid-November in London.
This recognition crowns an already successful year for La Friche, which recently received the Prix d’architectures 10+1 2026, considered the national prize for architectural criticism. It is also among the three finalists for the Prix AMO 2026, in the 'Best Urban/Rural Catalyst' category.
The 'Sustainable renovation' category specifically rewards projects that manage to transcend the boundaries of their plot and program to become drivers of territorial transformation, create new dynamics, and reweave social connections. The results will be announced in early November in Paris.
