The festive center of Sauvagnon came alive last Saturday evening during the cultural opening night. The duo Roca and Wally delivered a celebrated cabaret performance to the approximately one hundred spectators present, marking one of the most accomplished events in the last 18 years. The duo's sharp writing and pervasive humor, with Roca having been a voice on France Inter for over a decade, captivated the audience. The evening flew by thanks to the quality of the writing, concluding over 200 performances of this show. The cultural season continues on Saturday, November 7th, with « Ma République et Moi », an committed show. The full program is available on sauvagnon.fr, with an entrance fee of 10 euros.
A new recreational space, the Pump Track, has been inaugurated, exclusively dedicated to children aged 5 to 12. This gliding area is designed to introduce young riders to 'pump' movements, develop their balance, and allow them to ride on a fun course. Wearing a helmet is mandatory to ensure safety. Only children's bikes, scooters, and BMX bikes are permitted on the track, which should not be used in the rain. Electric or motorized vehicles are prohibited. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The municipality, responsible for the creation of this facility, requests that users respect the installations, do not bring animals, and refrain from consuming food or drinks on the track, as bins are provided for this purpose.
The quarterly newspaper published by the Sauvagnon town hall, « Les Nouvelles », aims to revive the commune's history. It is launching an appeal for documents (photos, press archives, testimonies) concerning the former communal cinema, l'Arrizoulet, which was located near the church.
