On October 2, 2026, the CMA Vienne – Nouvelle-Aquitaine awarded the Artisans Gourmands title to Maison Pithon in Loudun. This recognition underscores the artisanal business's daily commitment to quality, traditional craftsmanship, and the transmission of skills.
The Artisans Gourmands brand, established in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, identifies food industry professionals who demonstrate a recognized commitment to excellence by the Chamber of Trades and Crafts and sector professional organizations.
Awarded for a five-year period after a demanding audit, the certified companies commit to manufacturing a large majority of their products on-site, innovating in their practices, offering local service, and passing on their expertise.
The distinction was presented to Maison Pithon by Karine Desroses, president of the CMA Vienne – Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in the presence of Joël Dazas, mayor of Loudun.
Managed by Valérie and Nicolas Pithon, the company is recognized for the quality of its artisanal productions in bakery, pastry, chocolate, ice cream, and catering. Already distinguished as a Maître Artisan in 2025, it continues its path of continuous improvement for its clientele.
The company also contributes to the transmission of trades by hosting two apprentices alongside its two employees.
Beyond recognizing the know-how of Maison Pithon, the Artisans Gourmands title highlights artisanal businesses that contribute to the gastronomic and economic influence of their region.
For artisans, this distinction serves as a mark of quality for consumers and a significant lever for valuing their professional commitment.
