Taking care of a loved one should never mean forgetting oneself. Every day, thousands of people support a spouse, parent, child, neighbor, or friend facing illness, disability, or loss of autonomy. These daily gestures, often discreet and sometimes exhausting, make these individuals caregivers.
Today, over 11 million French people regularly support a loved one, a figure that continues to rise. However, despite their essential commitment, many caregivers are unaware of the solutions, aid, and support systems available to them.
Therefore, with the support of the Departmental Council of Vienne and in collaboration with numerous local stakeholders, an event entirely dedicated to caregivers is being organized: the CAREGIVER FORUM. Under the slogan 'What if we took care of you?', this day aims to provide answers, resources, and useful contacts to all those concerned by this societal issue.
The forum will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the Salle du Berry, located at 38 rue du Berry in Senillé-Saint-Sauveur. Admission is free, but registration is mandatory due to limited places.
The goal is to enable caregivers, whether they are currently caring for someone, have done so in the past, or are simply concerned about the issue, to find valuable information. An informed, supported, and accompanied caregiver is better equipped to continue providing care.
