The Corderie Royale in Rochefort, a jewel of 17th-century industrial heritage, is hosting the TOTEMS exhibition until January 3, 2027. This immersive exhibition offers a monumental journey through about sixty contemporary works, resulting from a carte blanche granted by the Centre International de la Mer to visual artists Coco Fronsac and Jim Skull.
The artists subvert the codes of seamanship to create a dreamlike forest of ropes. This artistic approach bridges the history of the site, a 374-meter-long building, with their contemporary vision, thus offering a unique sensory experience to visitors.
The exhibition is accessible with different pricing periods. From February 7 to June 30, 2026, the adult ticket price is €10, child €6, and adult groups €9. From July 1 to August 31, 2026, prices are €11 for adults, €6 for children, and €9 for groups. Finally, from September 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027, prices return to €10 (adult), €6 (child), and €9 (group).
Admission is free for children under 6 and for the press. The child rate applies to those aged 6 to 15. The group rate is applicable for groups of 15 or more people.
