Since Tuesday, October 20th, a new speed regulation system, a "reward light," has been operational on the road to Saint-Xandre in Puilboreau, near the "Les Grands Champs" bus stop.

This R22 type traffic light is designed to encourage drivers to respect the 30 km/h speed limit in force in this area. It remains red by default and only turns green if a vehicle approaches at a speed less than or equal to the authorized limit. Drivers exceeding this speed will not benefit from the green light.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to secure the town entrance and promote more responsible driving behavior. The goal is to reduce excessive speeds and improve safety for all road users, including pedestrians and public transport users, who are particularly present near the "Les Grands Champs" stop.
Specific signage has been installed 100 meters upstream of the light to inform drivers of its presence and encourage them to adjust their driving before reaching the intersection.
