The municipality of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is launching its new cultural and solidarity season, running from October 2026 to March 2027, featuring free events for everyone.

Mardi Ciné (Tuesday Cinema) returns to Sainte-Marie-de-Ré for a new season starting on Tuesday, October 13th at 3 PM in the town hall's ceremony room. The screenings, which are free and open to all, will continue until March 2027. A new feature this year allows the public to choose the next film by voting at the end of each screening. A snack offered by the municipality will be provided after each session to extend this convivial moment.
In parallel, Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is mobilizing against breast cancer as part of Pink October. On October 4th and 24th, the municipality and the Sainte Marie Committee invite everyone to gather, share, and support this cause. Meetings are planned for discussion and support.
The Media Library also offers a varied program for all ages. Starting Wednesday, October 7th at 10:30 AM, it's time for "Stories of..." for children aged 3 and up. On Wednesday, October 14th at 10 AM, babies aged 0 to 3 years are invited for "Bébés lecteurs" (Baby Readers). On Friday, October 30th, from 3 PM to 6 PM, the event is "Faites vos jeux !" (Let's Play!) for ages 3 and up. Access to video games will be free on Wednesdays from 3 PM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM. During school holidays, from October 17th to November 1st, the toy library will offer special activities. All these activities are free and open to everyone.
The exhibition "Esprit Pop", featuring works by Philippe Darondeau and Flore, will be on display at the Petite Ecole from September 15th to 28th. Additionally, the Sainte Marie Basket club has postponed its "Brocante du sportif" (Sports Flea Market) to the weekend of April 10th, 2027, due to a lack of participants this year.
