Magelis is organizing the participation of several collectives and publishing houses from Angoulême at the Quai des Bulles festival, which will take place in Saint-Malo from October 9 to 11, 2026. This event is the second-largest comic book festival in France by attendance, after the FIBD.
On a large shared stand, eight Angoulême-based entities will present their new works: Biscoto Editions, Café Creed, Editions Makisapa, Bruissement, Coven Tales, Editions Azimut, Maudit Village, and Nébuleuse Editions.
Among the selected works, "L’été avec Olivia" by Melhia Martin, published by Editions Biscoto, is nominated for the Prix BD Jeunesse Ville de Saint-Malo / Quai des Bulles, awarded by a jury of young readers in schools.
The graphic novel tells the story of Anna, a young girl who experiences her first romantic feelings during a summer, notably through her encounter with Olivia. The narrative delicately explores the discovery of same-sex attraction in a sunny and poetic style.
