The animated film "Le Corset", produced by Eddy Cinéma and several other companies, will be released in theaters in October. This feature film, with a runtime of 91 minutes, received the "Coup de cœur 15-25 ans" label from AFCAE and was selected for numerous festivals, notably winning the Un Certain Regard jury prize at Cannes in 2026.
The theatrical release will be accompanied by a tour of 19 preview screenings organized in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The project received production support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the Charente Department, in partnership with the CNC and the support of ALCA and Pôle Image Magelis.
The film's synopsis follows Christophe, an 11-year-old boy living on a farm in Beauce. Facing difficulties at school and at home, he must wear a corset to stand up straight. As the farm goes through a difficult period, Christophe grows up as best he can, discovers music, and meets Clara, a meeting that seems to make everything possible.
