Decree n° 2026-959, published on October 15, 2026, renews the fuel allowance for workers who use their vehicle for professional purposes, covering the period from October to December 2026.

This measure aims to support professionals for whom a vehicle is essential for their work. The renewal of the scheme introduces notable changes, particularly an increase in the income ceiling.
To be eligible, the reference fiscal income per share must not exceed €22,770 for the year 2024, a significantly higher threshold than the previously required €16,880. The allowance amounts to €100 for eligible workers.
Beneficiaries who received the aid during the previous period (April to September 2026) will automatically receive this new €100 allowance without needing to reapply. This payment is scheduled from October 16, 2026.
For new applicants, the online application process will be available from October 27, 2026, through their personal space on the impots.gouv.fr website. Other eligibility criteria, particularly those related to distances traveled for professional activities, remain unchanged.
