The Young Municipal Council (CMJ) of Gond-Pontouvre installed its eight new elected members on Tuesday, October 13th, presenting them with their sashes and marking the start of their civic engagement.

The municipal council chamber of Gond-Pontouvre hosted the first meeting of the new composition of the Young Municipal Council (CMJ) on Tuesday, October 13th. In the presence of their families, the young councillors received their sashes from Mme le Maire (the Mayor), symbolizing their participation in the life of the commune.
This session also marked the handover between generations. The young elected officials entering 5th grade passed on their mandate to the CM2 students, who are now joining this civic adventure.
The commune congratulated the eight new members: Céleste BONDON, Louise BOULESTEIX, Jade DESPLOBINS, Liam LE GARREC, Margaux BIBINOT, Tom CHABAUD, Marie CHAUVIN, and Zoé GARREAUD. It also thanked the eight outgoing councillors for their commitment during their two-year term.
This new mandate for the young elected officials opens the way for them to express their ideas, proposals, and initiatives, in a spirit of citizenship, respect, solidarity, and responsibility. The municipality emphasizes the importance of their perspective on the commune and its ambition to foster dynamic local democracy through consultation and co-construction.
