These premises, previously occupied by the community center and rented to Brive Habitat, will eventually accommodate four doctors by July. This initiative is part of a partnership with the mutual insurance company VYV3 Cœur d’Aquitaine, which will provide salaried physicians.
The project also materializes the scheme implemented by the City since 2022, offering scholarships to future doctors in exchange for practicing in the area. The first beneficiary, general practitioner Élise Auriat, used this program to complete her studies and is expected to start on January 4. Appointment bookings will open on December 1 via the CLICKDOC platform.
A second doctor is anticipated in the first quarter, a third between July and September, and a fourth could arrive in June, according to the mayor. He highlighted the considerable financial efforts undertaken by the City, amounting to over 2.3 million euros to date, to combat medical desertification.
In the long term, the City plans for the arrival of 24 professionals by 2029, including a fourth dentist to be confirmed at the next municipal council meeting.
