With All Saints' Day approaching, autumn colors are settling in Égletons. Green space agents are busy preparing public areas, from cemeteries to the town center, focusing on floral arrangements, memorial sites, and plant valorization.
For a week, teams have been cleaning paths, blowing leaves, and trimming hedges in the commune's two cemeteries. At the landscape cemetery, 80 chrysanthemums have been placed on each grave in the communal area.
The autumn floral display also extends to the town center, where yellow, gold, and red chrysanthemums brighten planters and hanging baskets at the Town Hall, Place des Anciens Combattants, and cemetery entrances.
The seasonal planting approach also includes reusing materials: annual plants at the end of their cycle are shredded and reused to enrich flowerbeds, giving plant matter a second life.
