A public meeting will be held in Felletin on Monday, October 19, to present the project for a backup water intake on the Combes reservoir, a priority initiative to secure drinking water supply.

The Department of Creuse has identified the creation of a backup water intake on the Combes reservoir as a priority project in its drinking water supply master plan. This new facility is intended to secure the drinking water supply for the SIAEP de la Rozeille, a neighboring syndicate to the SIAEP de la Haute Vallée de la Creuse, to which Felletin belongs.
This measure would provide a backup solution for the SIAEP de la Rozeille in case of difficulties with its current single water intake, located on the Beissat reservoir.
The project was presented to Felletin's elected officials during the Municipal Council meeting last September. At the request of the mayor of Felletin, Olivier Cagnon, the Syndicat des Eaux Creusoises, responsible for its implementation, is organizing a public information meeting for residents.
This meeting will detail the chosen scenario, the stakes, the objectives, the main characteristics of the operation, and its potential impacts.
The meeting will take place on Monday, October 19, at 6:30 PM at the Espace Tibord du Chalard.
