A new phase was reached in Bressuire on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, with the ceremonial laying of the first stone for the future urban heating plant and its heat network. This symbolic act brought together several key figures around the Mayor, Emmanuelle Ménard: Arnaud Printemps, Deputy Mayor for Renewable Energies; Alain Guilloteau, Regional Director of SADE; Séverine Vachon, Departmental Councilor for Sustainable Development, PNRs, and ENS; and Jean-Charles Manse, Secretary General of the Sub-Prefecture of Deux-Sèvres. Numerous elected officials, partners, financiers, technicians, and future users were also present.
This ceremony officially launches the construction of this major project for the territory. Once operational, the heating plant and network will supply 22 buildings, including schools, cultural and sports facilities, as well as housing.
The laying of this first stone represents a significant step before the facility's commissioning, scheduled for autumn 2027. This project benefits from the support of various partners working alongside the City.
