Since last April, extracurricular teams have been leading fun activities and workshops adapted to children's ages to teach them how to identify a risky situation, how to alert others, and how to acquire the right reflexes in an emergency. This program, supported by the CCPG, was collectively developed by a working group of extracurricular directors and school coordinators.
The objective is to make this initiative sustainable, with actions renewed each year so that all students can benefit. Workshops are mainly held during extracurricular activities (APS), offering an educational framework particularly suited for this awareness campaign.
To enrich the program, partnerships have been established with the Protection Civile des Deux-Sèvres and the firefighters. These professionals intervene in schools to complement the activities led by the extracurricular teams, allowing children to discover emergency responders, their missions, and their equipment, and giving a concrete dimension to the learning within the Péri’Secours project.
Beyond learning life-saving gestures, Péri’Secours aims to develop children's sense of mutual aid, responsibility, and their ability to react to unusual situations, making this awareness campaign both practical and civic-minded.
