Several prefectural orders have been published in the Deux-Sèvres department, establishing various safety and regulatory measures for the coming months. These decisions aim to oversee potentially sensitive activities and ensure public safety.
Temporary bans on gatherings of people and motor vehicles for demonstration purposes, such as tuning, street racing, drifting, or burnouts, are in effect. These restrictions apply on public roads or roads open to public traffic, from Friday, September 4th at 6 PM to Sunday, September 6th at 11 PM, and again from Friday, August 21st, 2026 – 6:00 PM to Sunday, August 23rd at 11 PM.
Furthermore, orders restrict the sale and transport of fireworks and flammable products, as well as the carrying of weapons and ammunition. These measures are effective from Thursday, July 9th, 2026, at 3:00 PM to Monday, July 20th at 8:00 AM.
Gatherings for musical events such as free/rave parties or teknivals, as well as the transport of necessary equipment, are also temporarily prohibited from Friday, September 25th, 6 PM to Monday, September 28th, 12 PM.
Regarding outdoor activities, fishing in 1st category watercourses will close early for the year 2026. Restrictions on access and work in forests are also being implemented, along with temporary limitations for certain agricultural activities.
The hunting season 2026-2027 will see adjustments, with a ban on the use of category 2 traps to protect the European otter, the European beaver, and the European mink. The game management plan for pheasants has also been modified.
Finally, an order dated June 12th, 2026, recognizes the state of natural disaster for damages caused by various natural phenomena: avalanches, floods, mudslides, groundwater rise, landslides, cyclonic winds, and differential ground movements resulting from drought and soil rehydration.
