Last Saturday, the municipality of Archignac inaugurated its hall and the surrounding landscaped areas. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Department, Germinal Peiro, senators Marie-Claude Vareillas and Serge Mérillou, regional councilor Benjamin Delrieux, the two departmental councilors for the Terrasson canton, Régine Anglard and Michel Lajugie, and the president of the community of communes, Patrick Bonnefon.
Launched by the previous municipality, this project now offers residents a pleasant setting, set to quickly become a central meeting and social hub in the village.
The day also provided an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served the commune. Alain Laporte, named honorary mayor, was recognized for his 18 years of commitment to Archignac. Two former municipal councilors, Annie Painot and Josiane Fraysse, received regional, departmental, and communal medals for their 37 and 24 years dedicated to the life of the commune.
