For the third edition of the Climate Month, the Grand Périgueux region invites participants to a fun and family-friendly adventure with a unique, ephemeral Tèrra Aventura route. This initiative, running throughout October, aims to educate both children and adults on the challenges of ecological and energy transitions through a program of free activities.
A special route, created for the occasion, spans the communes of Coulounieix-Chamiers and Périgueux. Starting from parking 2 at Le Sîlot, participants, guided by the virtual character Zaméla, will solve riddles along a 5-kilometer itinerary. This walk will highlight emblematic sites such as Le Sîlot, the urban renewal transformation of the city center under the PRU, and adaptations made to address the effects of climate change.
The route also leads to the Filature de l’Isle in Périgueux, where an interactive exhibition will delve into the topic of energy, from its production to its consumption. This approximately two-hour course, accessible to everyone, combines discovery, games, and awareness-raising, offering an original way to view the ongoing transformations in the region.
The official launch of the route will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, at 2 PM at Le Sîlot. Partner associations will animate several stages of the adventure, which will conclude with a friendly gathering.
The route is accessible from October 3rd to November 1st, 2026. Departures are from parking 2 at Le Sîlot. The Tèrra Aventura app must be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store or Apple Store to participate.
