This emergency scheme covers several types of farms. Livestock farmers who have incurred unforeseen and exceptional expenses for animal feed are eligible. Market gardeners, strawberry and small red fruit producers with a minimum of 0.5 ha under cultivation and who have suffered crop losses can also benefit.
Fruit growers whose orchards are not irrigated or only partially irrigated, or who have faced water usage restrictions this summer, and who manage at least 5 ha of orchards in production with a specialization rate of orchard SAU to total SAU above 30%, are also included. For cereal farmers specializing in large crops, where spring crops represent more than 40% of the cereal-oilseed-protein crop area and whose average EBITDA over the last 3 years is below €20,000, aid is also available.
Special attention is given to the farmers most in difficulty across all sectors, who receive specific support from agricultural support structures in the department, such as the MSA, the Chamber of Agriculture, the Departmental Council, and various associations. A bonus is provided for young farmers and those newly established for less than 5 years.
