The installation of ramps for the new cycle bridge over the Isle river is progressing. The ramp on the right bank was put in place on September 16, 2026, followed by the installation of guardrails. The ramp on the left bank was installed on September 23, 2026.
A smaller footbridge for crossing the watercourse next to the washhouse will be put in place on September 29, 2026. Subsequently, the greenway surfacing is scheduled to begin on October 5, 2026, with signage and markings to be completed by the end of October 2026.
These developments are part of the extension of the greenway towards Escoire. The section between the Charriéras bridge and the footbridge has been converted into a cycle route along the Rue de la Rivière in Bassillac-et-Auberoche.
The footbridge now spans the Isle, and on the other side, the greenway is being developed up to the village of Antonne. A cycle route will then connect the village of Antonne-et-Trigonnant to that of Escoire.
This project is part of a broader initiative to promote sustainable mobility. It will provide residents of Escoire and Antonne-et-Trigonnant with greener travel options to the economic hubs of Boulazac-Isle-Manoire and Trélissac.
