The City of Artigues-près-Bordeaux is launching a new wave of free electric-assist bicycle (VAE) loans for its residents, offering an opportunity to test this mode of transport.

The municipality of Artigues-près-Bordeaux is making four electric-assist bicycles (VAE) available to Artiguais residents for a free two-month loan. This initiative aims to encourage the use of this ecological transport method within the commune and its surroundings.
The main conditions for benefiting from this loan include residing in Artigues-près-Bordeaux, working or studying more than 3 km from home, and being an adult. The program distinguishes the allocation of three bicycles for home-to-work or study commutes, while a fourth bicycle will be loaned to other groups based on demand, such as retirees, the unemployed, or individuals working less than 3 km from their homes.
To learn about all participation terms and conditions, it is advisable to carefully consult the regulations available online. Applicants must make their arrangements before applying, particularly regarding civil liability insurance.
The next loan period will take place in November and December 2026. Before the application deadline, set for Friday, October 30, 2026, pre-registered candidates must submit the required documents to the Maison ECO, located at 10 avenue Desclaux. These documents include proof of identity, proof of address less than three months old, a bank account details (RIB) after selection, a civil liability certificate, an employer or student certificate (or self-attestation for non-salaried workers), as well as a sworn statement for other groups.
Following the closure of registrations, the City of Artigues-près-Bordeaux will review all applications based on the required criteria and prioritization, particularly the submission date and the home-to-work/study distance.
