As part of the Territorial Cooperation Agreement, this meeting addressed key themes such as mobility, waste management, land use planning, economic development, employment, and crisis management. These issues transcend administrative boundaries and require close coordination between the two authorities to meet the needs of residents who live, work, and travel daily between Bordeaux Métropole and Nord Bassin.
The elected officials also visited the construction site of the future Maintenance and Storage Site (SMR) in Marcheprime, welcomed by LISEA. This pioneering site aims to provide railway companies with optimal infrastructure for train maintenance and storage, thereby ensuring their daily availability and improving the quality of rail service.
The construction is progressing according to schedule and represents a significant opportunity for the region, both in terms of mobility and economic development and employment.
