The day, focused on "meetings at the crossroads of practice and research for environmental education and support for transitions," provided an opportunity to review various experiments on citizen participation, territorial dialogue, and ecological transition.
Round tables and cross-disciplinary discussions brought together researchers, practitioners, elected officials, and local stakeholders. Topics included leveraging the social sciences to support educational projects and conservation efforts, citing the example of the European Mink. Participants also explored the possibilities for citizen participation to genuinely contribute to public policies.
Through its research, the Ifrée (Institute for Training and Research in Environmental Education) fosters collective thinking in environmental education. The work of researchers and practitioners aligns with a fundamental mission of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park: to improve the practices of local actors and promote innovation.
The institution extended its "very happy anniversary" and "great thanks" to Ifrée for the richness of the discussions and presentations offered throughout the day.
