Since February, Convergence Garonne has made 7 new hiking loops available to walkers in its territory. This network, the result of significant development and work, offers 55 km of marked trails. The loops range from 4.5 to 10 km, making them accessible to all levels of practice.
These routes traverse rich and varied environments, combining heritage, forest, river, and estuary, as well as vineyard and historical landscapes. Despite recent climatic events that have sometimes made continuous access difficult, the community's services are working to ensure clear and safe trails for public reception.
Users are invited to report any anomalies observed during their walks, such as obstacles, damaged signage, or fallen trees. These reports, to be made via the Suricate website and application, help maintain and improve the quality of the trails for everyone.
This project, led by the Community of Communes, represents a first step. New loops are already planned, with upcoming work, aiming for a public opening in 2027.
