Animation Film Festival Highlights Nouvelle-Aquitaine Supported Films

Over twenty events, screenings, and workshops are scheduled across the region to celebrate animated cinema.

The Animation Film Festival, taking place from October 11 to 31 worldwide, is showcasing several films supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and its departments.

More than twenty-five events, including screenings, animations, meetings, cine-concerts, and workshops, are scheduled in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Among the supported films is Mise en culture, récolte et dispersion des épines de Jeanne Girard, a short film produced by Novanima, À perte de vue Film, and L'Incroyable Studio, with script and production support from the Region and the Dordogne Department.
The animated feature film Le Corset by Louis Clichy, produced by Eddy Cinéma, Beside Productions, and Regular Production, also benefits from support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the Charente Department. Its opening screening is scheduled for October 9 in Tulle (19), followed by a discussion with Cécile Guillard. Other screenings are planned in Bègles (33) and Pessac (33).
Carmen, l'oiseau rebelle by Sébastien Laudenbach, set for theatrical release in December 2026, received support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the Charente Department. An opening screening is scheduled for October 9 in Tulle (19) with Élodie Remy, the film's art director, in attendance, and another screening will take place in Bazas (33).
Other works such as Blaise by Jean-Paul Guigue and Dimitri Planchon (scheduled for release in 2027) and Jim Queen by Marco Nguyen and Nicolas Athané (produced by Bobbypills, Umedia) have received support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, sometimes in partnership with the Charente Department. A Q&A screening for Jim Queen is scheduled for October 11 in Labouheyre (40).
