On Monday, November 2, 2026, the CMA Training Center Bel’Ima-Isfora in Bordeaux hosted the launch of the 9th edition of the Transmission-Reprise Month in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This initiative, led by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and its partners, aims to strengthen support for craft businesses in their transfer and takeover projects.
The CMA Nouvelle-Aquitaine took advantage of this event to reaffirm its commitment to the transfer and takeover of craft businesses, a crucial issue for preserving know-how and ensuring economic vitality. For this edition, an original theatrical format, the play "Tel père, telle fille !" by the company Les Chercheurs d'Arts, was presented to raise awareness among business leaders and future buyers about the challenges of family transmission.
The play humorously and realistically addressed the human, emotional, and strategic dimensions of generational handover. The event was attended by Gérard GOMEZ, President of CMA Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Nathalie Laporte, President of CMA Gironde - Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Colette Langlade, elected representative of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, and Stéphane GUITARD, Batonnier of the Bordeaux Bar.
Business transfer is a major economic and territorial challenge. By 2030, over 370,000 French companies with at least one employee are expected to be transferable, yet only 30% of family businesses pass the second generation and 12% the third. In the craft sector, anticipating this transfer is essential to preserve skills, know-how, jobs, and entrepreneurial history.
Throughout the year, CMA Nouvelle-Aquitaine supports artisans in their transfer projects and future buyers. Its advisors provide personalized assistance for transfer anticipation, business valuation, buyer search, project preparation, and mobilization of support mechanisms.
The Transmission-Reprise Month is a key opportunity to raise awareness among leaders about the importance of planning their departure, to inspire vocations among future buyers, and to facilitate meetings with accompanying professionals. The launch was organized by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and its partners: CMA Nouvelle-Aquitaine, CCI Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Chambres d'Agriculture Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and the Barreau de Bordeaux.
