The third edition of "Memory Resonances" will take place from November 16 to 21, 2026, with an extension on December 3, 2026, bringing together four major figures of Francophone creation: Estelle-Sarah Bulle, Dr. Massamba Gueye, Alain Serge Dzotap, and Rosine Mondor. The event, focused on transmission, imaginations, and youth literature in Francophone spaces, will be held at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne and in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles.
Jointly supported by CELFA (Plurielles UR 24142), the DiANA’T Chair (LAM UMR 5115), and DEFLE, this scientific and cultural event questions the place of youth in creating the narratives of tomorrow. It will take place at the CLEFF of the University of Bordeaux Montaigne and as part of the Biennale of Francophone Literatures of Black Africa.
The program includes the international conference "Creating and Writing for African and Diasporic Francophone Children and Youth," on November 19 and 20, 2026. This conference, gathering researchers from Africa and Europe, will address themes such as African and diasporic literatures, orality, plurilingualism, narrative heritage, and the circulation of works. It will feature 38 scientific communications.
Alongside the conference, student creation projects from DEFLE will be showcased, including a multilingual sound mapping, an exhibition, and a theatrical performance. The event aims to circulate knowledge, transmit cultural heritage, and support the diverse voices of youth. A book stand from the Librairie Georges de Talence will also be available.
Key dates are from November 16 to 21 and December 3, 2026. Venues include the CLEFF at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne (Pessac campus), the Carré des Jalles in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, and the Maison des Arts at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne for the December 3 performance.
