The Perles de BD festival returns to the L'EKLA Cultural Center from November 17 to 21, 2026, to celebrate its 20th edition. Organized by the City of Le Teich and its L'EKLA Cultural Center, this event honors the 9th art with a varied program including shows, author meetings, signings, workshops, and activities.
This cultural and family event invites all ages to discover comic books in all their forms and share their passion for drawing and illustrated stories.
Several shows are on offer: on Wednesday, November 18, the collective Les Créants will present Sage comme neige (for ages 4+) at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. On Friday, November 20 at 7 PM, the company La Salamandre will perform Peau d’Homme (ages 9+), an object theater adaptation of the comic by Zanzim and Hubert. Finally, on Saturday, November 21 at 6 PM, the Brass Band Côtes et Cuivres and Maxime Garcia will present À portée de brass, a musical show.
From November 9 to 22, the festival extends into the streets of Le Teich with a treasure hunt, 'le sentier de la BD'. Participants are invited to find comic book characters hidden around town by picking up their game sheet at the mediatheque. This project is a collaboration with the ALSH élémentaire, Espace Jeunes, and the mediatheque of Le Teich.
Saturday, November 21, is the main day with 'Le Festival en grand!'. At 9:30 AM, a round table with Zanzim, illustrator of Peau d’Homme, moderated by David Fournol and accompanied by actors from La Salamandre, will explore his comic book secrets. At 3:30 PM, the association Arts & Loisirs will host a drawing workshop at the mediatheque (ages 6+) to create a large collective comic strip.
Invited authors and illustrators, including Zanzim, Hapé, Elsa Corradi, Fabien Ronteix, Emmanuel Moynot, Yann Cozic, Troubs, Élisabeth Belhache, Bruno Wennagel, Sandro, and Jonathan Garnier, will be present for signing sessions from 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 2 PM to 5:30 PM at the mediatheque.
A drawing contest is open to children aged 8 and up, from November 3 to 21. Participants must pick up a four-panel comic strip template at the mediatheque and complete it using their chosen technique. A jury, composed of festival illustrators, elected officials, and members of the Conseil municipal des jeunes, will award a prize, as will the public. Submissions are due by November 13, voting runs from November 14 to 21, and winners will be announced on Saturday, November 21, at 5:45 PM.
