Gindou Cinéma is launching the new edition of its screenwriting contest Le Goût des autres, aimed at young people aged 12 to 18 residing in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie. This initiative, running since 2005, encourages participants to draw inspiration from their personal experiences to create short films, tackling themes of living together without taboo.
The contest aims to promote the sharing of differences and multiple identities in a spirit of equality and fraternity, while combating rejection and discrimination based on skin color, identity, culture, community, or gender. Making a film is presented as a key way to encounter others.
Projects can be submitted online via the dedicated form on the Gindou Cinéma website until November 23, 2026. Groups whose projects are selected will then participate in screenwriting workshops in December 2026. These groups will receive professional guidance between January and April 2027 to develop their screenplays.
The public presentation of the final screenplays and the designation of the winning project by a jury will take place at the end of April 2027 in Gindou, Lot.
