In response to drought episodes and ground movements, the Town Hall of Saint-Médard-de-Guizières is calling on residents to report damage sustained by their homes.

The municipality wishes to identify any cracks or damage potentially linked to the drought. Homeowners whose properties have been affected are invited to contact the town hall promptly.
To do so, please send the following information via email to mairie@saintmedarddeguizieres.fr or by mail: full contact details (name, surname, address, phone number), a precise description of the cracks or damage observed inside and/or outside the home, the approximate date of appearance or worsening if possible, and photographs of the damage.
It is also reminded that it is important to promptly declare these damages to your insurance company, regardless of whether official recognition of a natural disaster status has been obtained.
This information will enable the town hall to compile a file to request recognition of natural disaster status due to drought for the year 2026.
